take a hike
Look at Pula posing for the camera, she is such a big girl.
We stopped to have our picnic lunch. I attempted to take a photo of all four of us.
My mom came back from her hockey tournament on Sunday so we all went out to brunch together. When we got home we found this mess:
Pula had gotten the feather duster and torn it to shreds, it looked like a bird massacre, too funny! It was so great to be at home to spend a relaxing weekend with my parents.

fishy
I made this fish necklace in February after a super fun trip to some NYC bead stores with my mom (my mother makes the most beautiful polymer clay jewelry, I will be sure to feature some soon). I really love making jewelry but haven't done it in a long time. Our trip to the bead store totally inspired me to get back into it. I love having a creative outlet, I think I actually need a creative outlet, it just makes me so happy. I have glorious plans of creating a "craft nook" in Kevin and my next apartment... I'm sure Kevin will love it, haha.
Tank: H&M
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: H&M
Fish necklace: homemade
Gold necklaces & bracelets: my Grandmother's
This is the first time I have asked Kevin to take pictures of me for my blog, he did a great job! It will definitely be a learning experience. I have realized that I really know absolutely nothing about what my camera can do - I desperately need a tutorial from a camera guru, I have tried the read the manual to figure things out but its too confusing. I also know nothing about photography lighting so these pictures are a little dark, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it at some point - maybe shooting outside will help. Thank you for being so patient with me my love!!!

marissa makes me look good:)
Tonight was girly date night. Claudia, Marissa and I went to Dos Caminos for guacamole and margaritas before seeing Shutter Island. Dinner was so good, I love guacamole and nothing helps you forget about the long day at work more than a good old margarita. Yum! Shutter Island was pretty freaky, I didn't see the twist at the end coming at all. It was a little scary getting in bed alone (Kevin was watching some TV) but thankfully I was pretty tired so I fell right asleep. I really love scary movies but going to bed after you have seen one is hard.
Now on to my outfit. I have to start with my Jeffrey Campbell wedges because I am in LOVE with them. Thank you Kevin for getting them for me! They make me about 4 inches taller but are surprisingly comfortable to walk in. I feel so "New York" whenever I wear them - I always see women walking around NYC in super high heels and I am so envious because I wouldn't make it more than two steps out my door before breaking an ankle. The dress has such a great pattern to it. I love that this dress can be styled for winter and spring/summer - most of my wardrobe isn't worn for just one season, I can't afford that many clothes. I added the silver belt to break up the middle of the dress a little bit and then the orange cardigan so I wasn't wearing all navy, white and grey. As I said in my last post, I love wearing bright colors. Lastly, the best part of this outfit is the gorgeous sapphire necklace and sapphire and diamond earrings that were gifts from Kevin, isn't he the best!?!
Cardigan: Mango
Tights: We Love Colors
Wedges: Jeffrey Campbell
Belt: Forever 21
Necklace & Earrings: The Natural Sapphire Company (gift from Kevin)
I had to include so many photos because I just couldn't decide which ones to leave out, I love them all. The one at the end is Marissa and my favorite! I will try to narrow down the photos more next time.

very first outfit post!
Today was very gloomy rainy day but I think my new coral cardigan really brightened things up. I actually wore my new bright yellow Hunter rain boots for the trek to and from work. I LOVE wearing color, the brighter the better. I have recently discovered skinny belts and I really like how much they can change an outfit.
Tank: Old Navy
Jeans: Topshop
Earring: Homemade
Necklace & Belt: shop in Saratoga Springs, NY
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
As you can see I am still figuring this whole taking photos of myself thing. I tried my best today. These photos were taken in my apartment because it was so gross outside and I don't have a tripod so taking photos outside alone isn't possible. I will get Kevin to take some outdoor pictures of me when the weather is really nice. I cannot wait for spring weather to be here to stay.

playtime with the adsits.
She would do a lap in the yard, come over to see the picture and then ask me to take another, too cute!
hotdog in the park.
half marathon... claudia and kerry kicked butt.
Claudia and Kerry, you guys are so awesome. Love you both!!!
Thank you Marissa for letting me steal your photos:)go blues.
Guess what… Blues won!Side note: Kevin took me to my first NFL game about two years ago – my first professional sporting event ever (I still have the ticket). He gets so excited when he can share his love of sports with me and I must say that I really love going to games with him, watching them on TV can get a little tiring, but I do my best:)
we're the three best friend that anyone could have.
The first night we were there Nick and Merrick played a show together at Koffeeokee (a coffee house where Nick plays every so often). There was such a great crowd, the place was packed! They hadn’t played a show in so long, but they played so well and were so happy to be together. It made me so proud to watch how great they played, they were having so much fun and the crowd loved it!
And they made some money.
On Sunday we went to see an M.C. Escher show at the Boca Raton Art Museum. Wow it was crazy! The work he did just blows my mind. I bought a book to bring home to show Kevin, it makes a great addition to our (very, very slowly) growing collection of books.
That night we made two incredible pizzas – one with pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil:
One with pesto, fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, caramelized onions and rosemary:
They have Eskimos in Florida?
On Monday we went to see Alice and Wonderland in 3D. If anyone hasn’t seen it yet I would definitely recommend it! Here is the crazy tree Nick showed us before we went to the movie...
On Tuesday morning we woke up at 5:30am – I know that’s crazy early but Nick gets up at that time everyday for work, I don’t know if I could do that. We got up, ate breakfast and hopped in the car to drive about an hour and a half to Fort Drum, FL to check out Ruck’s Pit. Ruck’s Pit is a place where people can dig for calcified clam shells. Basically it is an open field with large piles on dirt brought in from the mine that you dig through to uncover glorious orange crystals. It was so much fun! We brought home some great souveniors:
Tuesday night I took Nick and Merrick out to a nice dinner in downtown Delray. Dinner was so delicious, thank you Lemongrass. Then we got ice cream and walked along downtown towards the ocean. We just joked and laughed the whole time. We have so much fun together!!! It was a great way to spend our last night.
Wednesday was the day we had to leave, so sad:( We got up, packed our stuff, loaded the car and headed to a bird watching place we had gone to the first afternoon we arrived. There were so many colorful birds and we even got to see alligators! While I thought my camera was cool it was totally blown out of the water by all the old people who had camera lenses that we like 3 feet long, some were even camo, damn I wish I had snapped a picture of them.
I love my brothers to death and I hope we get to have more adventures together soon. Nick will be spending the summer in Lakeville and I am so excited that both my brothers will be home so Kevin and I can make lots of trips up to visit.
