When I was little I used to call my rubber rain boots "muddle puddle boots."  These are my big girl mud puddle boots.

All I have to say is that these are the greatest shoes I have ever seen/owned.  I am head over heels in love!  Who can resist neon pink, neon orange and neon yellow... not me!

claudia's birthday dinner.

On Friday night Claudia, Marissa, Kerry and I all went out to dinner at Pala to celebrate Claudia's birthday.  We ate the most delicious pizza, drank some wine, chatted and laughed.  It was truly one of the best dinners.  I LOVE spending time with those girls!

 After dinner we stopped by Ella to have a delicious watermelon vodka drink... we felt so old, haha.  The place was jam packed with bitchy people getting wasted, we were in the mood for something more mellow.  

 Kevin came to meet us at One and One afterward for a beer.  We only lasted for one beer and then all decided to call it a night.  Happy Birthday Claudia!!!

jersey boys.

Guess what Kevin and I got to do last night... see Jersey Boys on Broadway!!!  I absolutely LOVE musicals so of course I was beyond excited to go.  Kevin on the other hand is not the biggest fan of musicals (he did take me to see the Lion King for my birthday two years ago... he must really love me).  Our friend Darren had gotten Kevin the tickets as a thank you for helping him with a sapphire pendant for his girlfriend.  It was such an awesome "thank you" present.  Thank you so much Darren!  

We thought the show was out of this world!  I would recommend it to anyone... if Kevin had a great time I promise you will too.

risa is the best.

I have been blessed with some amazingly talented friends.  My friend Risa from Skidmore is one of the most talented girlies I know.  We became close friends our junior year and lived together our senior year, so much fun!  She spent a ton of her time in the art studio creating her unbelievable paintings.  She moved home to the Philippines after we graduated and has continued to paint... she has had some super badass gallery openings and sold a lot of her work.  I am so proud of her!!!  

Of course being so talented she just had to make some jewelry for her friend's clothing line and guess what... her jewelry is out of this world.  The moment I saw the pieces I knew I had to have some.  When the opportunity arrived to get some I immediately placed an order for four necklaces.  I love each one and it feels so cool to wear such unique, beautiful jewelry that a friend made.  

Here is the Summer in Santa Fe necklace. I think I would call it rocker chic...  it is effortlessly feminine and edgy at the same time.
